JAW CRUSHER
They are the most widely used and well-known crushers in the world. They are safely used for crushing all types of rocks and ores, whether abrasive or non-abrasive, of medium to high hardness. AVKON MACHINERY’s product range includes a wide range of primary and secondary jaw crushers, both state-of-the-art and suitable for a wide range of capacities.
Avkon Primary units are the products of our research and development program, utilizing the latest engineering, tools, and technologies. A 3D CAD design program was used during the unit design, and software was used to analyze the stresses that would affect the critical components in a computer environment.
Although jaw crushers are generally used in the primary stage, secondary models are also preferred for secondary crushing.
Jaw crushers crush rocks by applying high pressure to the fed material. This mechanical pressure is generated by the elliptical motion of the moving jaw and the narrow angle between the fixed jaw and the fixed jaw. The fed material is gripped by this elliptical motion and compressed between the fixed and moving jaws. High flywheel speed, optimal jaw engagement angle, and specially designed geometry between the pitman and back block ensure maximum, controlled application of this mechanical pressure. Therefore, AJC Series Jaw Crushers feature the strongest crushing chamber, offering superior performance under all operating conditions.
Backing Plate
The safety plate, operating at the optimal angle, ensures maximum crushing force and drive system safety.
Side Liners
Wear-resistant manganese steel cast side linings
Shaft and Bearings
Eccentricity in the pitman shaft allows the jaw to move toward the bottom.
Outlet Port
The outlet port can be hydraulically adjusted using an adjustment block. This feature allows for quick adjustments on our Jaw Crushers.

Jaw Crusher Working Principle
Material fed into the crushing chamber is crushed by the movable jaw, which moves against the fixed jaw and compresses it against it. The movable jaw is driven by an eccentric shaft. A support plate, mounted on the bottom of the movable jaw, serves as a safety device by protecting the jaw crusher from overloads. The tensioning mechanism ensures the proper operation of the jaw crusher by providing the necessary tension and alignment to the support plate.
Jaw Crusher Usage Areas
Jaw crushers are used in the initial stages of the crushing process for hard, abrasive, or slightly abrasive materials. Jaw crushers are preferred for crushing hard and abrasive materials in mining and mining operations, quarries and aggregate production, construction and infrastructure projects, and recycling facilities.
Advantages of Using Jaw Crushers
Jaw Crushers can be used as primary or secondary crushers, depending on their size.
– Due to their crushing method, they exhibit much less wear in abrasive minerals than impact crushers.
– Their durable body structure provides a long service life.
– They require no daily maintenance other than lubrication.
– They can process larger raw materials than impact crushers.
– Their hydraulic system minimizes adjustment time.
– They consume less energy and operate at a high capacity at a low kW rating.
